POST-8: “Why I Don't Trust ‘AUTO-CORRECT’…”

Hey there, it's me again 🙂. I don't trust Auto correct. It's just like watching TV. Albeit, it definitely comes in handy at times, and both technologies serve a good purpose, but all the time!??.. It just doesn't make sense 🤦🏾‍♂️. Who is in charge of these things? How”smart” can it really be: to know my every thought, intention, and meaning behind my phrases? I try to be selective. Not in a pretentious, stuck up, un-flexible way, but typing things Quickly to get my point across, has hurt me more than helped when Communicating with others. Maybe it's not a long prose. Perhaps, a short msg. But nonetheless, feelings have been hurt, and conflicts have arised by “going with the flow”, and blindly trusting my device. Simple things like short-handed, language, and slang between friends have been muddied the hell up, because”smart-technology” thinks it knows best. Well, no thank you. Again, sometimes it's cool. But other times its been detrimental. Is it easier to make a mistake and apologize later, or conscientiously never make the mistake to begin with (the thoughts going through my head)? People I've valued the most, agree to the former. Now, WORD correction? Pretty cool. I've noticed the Growth in Microsoft's Application's to Review, Correct & spell check-my grammar (in say, passages I've written in school Papers) that have adapted to the 21st century, totally since it first came out. I appreciate that. But if I'm texting a friend, I don't need some random, bot-opinion suggesting words for me that best fit the vernacular I hold between my loved ones. They don't know me like that!.. obviously, this is just a rant, but can you understand my frustration? For example, I wrote before how “Emojis saved my life…” well, they have. Two of my friends, despise the lack of diversity in gender and ethnicities when using “people Emojis”. I thought it was a bit odd, but totally understand. He and she preferred male or female, African American figures. I get it. It makes things feel more personable. I like that. Another friend hates how her “I-phone” eliminates the history of her communications between partners she hasn't spoken to in a while. Her complaint: “ People think I'm ghosting them, bc I hadn't responded to their texts. When in reality, I got so busy, I forgot”. So you see my dilemma. All in all, I just wanted to share, and see who could feel me. Please, Comment below your thoughts on the situation. 😁 And as always, continue to #PersevereAndGrow. ❤️🙏
