POST-4: “Who Motivates the Motivators..?”

Hello, You're probably reading this right now because of the catchy title. LOL…Thank you! But it's True!.. Who Motivates the Motivators?.. I wish I had the full Answers to some of Life's most Challenging Questions. In Fact, I fear I never will. Better yet, I think that's ok…What would you do if you were the person who had all the answers, who knew how to solve all of the problems in Life, who could magically, “flip the switch” at any given moment, and produce A life of Heaven or Hell (whichever you preferred), at any given Moment?? You would be a Motivator. In my opinion. I don't think Human beings were ever supposed to have that much power. As Leaders, we are called to do the extraordinary. Doctors, Lawyers, senators, and even Farm hands. We all have Different strengths. Some appear to be more noble than others, but that's a lie . I talk alot about success. And what does it mean for you in your life. I may not want to be Mr. Olympia, Queen Elizabeth, or Dr. Fauci, leader at the CDC. I don't want to be an NFL-Superstar, Mega-Billionaire, or more. I just want to Relax. Q: “But who Motivates the Motivators?..” People are too caught up in Comparisons, that they choose to identify with others to their own fault--I am no different. Was I wrong for dreaming as a child? Should I feel punished, because I want to obtain a Doctorate Degree? What about my kids? Can't they have the same success that every other child has in a privaleged society? They too are Leaders, Motivators, Queens and Kings in their own Right. So who Motivates them? I'm surprised. I never thought that focusing, and concentrating on an end goal would be this difficult. Trying to practice Consistency in Life, to obtain what little success I would love to have, is a struggle. My job is to be a motivational speaker. I have trained my entire life, for this moment here. I have study and read, thousands of hours of content, read a hundred books, and have convinced myself that this is all possible. That a dream deferred doesn't have to exist. We can be Great! We can be everything our mommas ever dreamed we could be. ❤️ (I Love you Momma)...Do you think you Are better than your Momma? I doubt it. Mother’s are our Greatest Motivators. And they don't just cook and clean, they take care of kids, wash other people's clothes, AND (Thankfully) Hold Positions of authority in society, as Leaders of Industries. We should do better in this area, but I will save that post for another day My point is: No matter your background, or make-up, you are a leader and a Motivator. Yes, you reading this. Adapt and overcome, as a good friend once told me. You are an Eagle. Sometimes, life gets tough because we surround ourselves with other Birds/”chickens” As it is popularly phrased, and become confused, Afraid to be “Our best-selves”, apathetic, and even worse, negative/nasty. <—that is false thinking! We can All be great leaders and Motivators, in our individual worlds, and Coexist! Maybe you want to be a Grand champion, poker player. Or An Epic novelist, whose sole mission is to Teach ppl how to properly curate the finest of Wines through some far-out, holistic Approach to squeezing grapes. I don't know!.. That's between you and God my friend. Make a decision, stick to it, don't be afraid to accept what comes with that, And be prepared to pivot. A common Question I have been asked is: “Arthur, how do you find mentors?..” Or “Mr. O, How am I supposed to be a Great leader, teacher, and speaker to People, when I don't have much knowledge or experience in these areas? I feel like an imposter!’.. DUHN..DUHN.. DUHNNN!…<—There it is. LOL. Those magic words. “Imposter Syndrome”. You can be a factory-worker, or Fortune 100 CEO, And still suffer from Imposter Syndrome. It is terrifying. Especially in my space as. A youth Development speaker. But it's ok. Everyone feels funny at times, and that's why we need each other to help out. To help one another. To make sure we all feel happy and safe, where we can learn. Even an Eagle is a baby in the nest just trying to flap their wings to begin learning how to spread them, and soar. Brene Brown wrote an incredible book on the power of vulnerability. You should check it out. Greatness is relative, yes. But greatness always has A beginning. The moment you think you're too big, too bad, too smart, too funny, too talented, too brilliant, too beautiful, whatever!… Success shows you we've got more work to do. John C Maxwell, an impeccable giant in the public speaking space speaks about Leadership, and the Cornerstones of success. He wrote a book called the 21 irrefutable laws of leadership, I think you should check that one out too. Magnificent piece of work. I am paraphrasing here, but essentially, leaders/speakers/Motivators need to first take a personal look at themselves before casting their stones, or fishing lines into the water... So, don't get Depressed. Don't think: “My dream will never come true”, because you have so much more Development to endure. One of the scariest things I have encountered is my own Bright Light. The beauty I have to be my best self. My heart. My friends get mad at me because they think I'm doing something wrong by becoming this vulnerable, or speaking “negatively” about myself sometimes, and maybe that's just my dark humor... I try to explain to them that it's a process. True, I need to keep my eyes on the prize, but u can't stare at the sun for too long without going blind. LOL. (Again, my dark humor). Anyways, I am Empathic. I draw energy from the world around me, and therefore, must guard myself against those elements that are not of my best interests (i hope this is making sense to some of you, because I think you can relate). I Believe you have what it takes. I Know you're capable of more. So, I dont press the subject. #mentalhealthmatters is my Forte. And as i tell students, “I'm not only a spokesperson…I'm also a client” 🙂 I hope this message helps you out. I hope this helps some of you along your journey, and that you will share my message with others. Marianne Williamson wrote a poem about “Our Greatest Fear..”. Look it up…i think she said it best. So in conclusion, to answer the question: “Who Motivates the Motivators”?…The Answer is You. You have what it takes (We all do). We all have what it takes to Motivate one Another, AND-WE-DO-IT-IN-DIFFERENT WAYS!.. Just make sure your actions are Compassionate. So today, on this Bluesy, Winter-Monday. 😒 Feel Encouraged. “The best is yet to come”— KING.
